Last night Holli and I was watching a television show and one of the scenes showed two men throwing the body of a dead man over the side of the road. The two men then got back in a vehicle.
As they drove, one man asked about the spot where the dead man was thrown?
The other man said, “Everyone in this area comes here to leave their secrets.”
Focus on the words… “… leave their secrets..”
A secret is something we’ve done and we don’t want anyone to know about it. It’s normally a mistake we’ve made. It’s something that we did that we aren’t proud of. We don’t want anyone… except maybe a close friend or family member, to know about our little secret.
But God knows our secrets. God knows everything about us. God knows our baggage. God knows our business. And God says that he will forgive us of all our secrets if we will ask.
I John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and cleanse us of all unrighteousness.”
Today, you can tell the Lord your secret and you can be assured that it will be forgiven if you repent of your sins and ask.
