David’s Sermon-on-the-mount

Psalm 15 is known as David’s sermon-in-the-mount. In it, David describes the man who will worship on the Lord’s hill.

David says “…those who lead blameless lives….”

Then he adds…”Those who refuse to gossip or harm their neighbors…

Also “…and keep their promises even when it hurts.”

As I read this Psalm…it describes essentially a perfect person and no human being is perfect. The only perfect person is the Lord and the only we can reach perfection is through Christ. So, the only way any of us will stand before the Lord is through receiving Christ as our Savior and receiving His righteousness.

The apostle Paul said, “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ” (Rom. 5:1).

None of us are perfect but Jesus is perfect and wants to make us righteous as we trust Him as Savior.
