Dealing With Doubts

We all have doubts at times.

Thomas, one of the Lord’s disciples, had doubts. In the Old Testament, Gideon had doubts about God calling him to lead Israel.

In Psalm 5, the Psalmist had doubts. He was questioning if the Lord had forgotten him. But at the conclusion of the Psalm, it seems he has had his faith renewed. He says, “But I trust in your unfailing love. I will rejoice because you have rescued me. I will sing to the Lord because he is good to me.”

So, he has gone through a time of doubt but, in spite of his doubt, he trusts in the Lord.

Most of us have had doubts and our faith may have wavered at times but, hopefully our doubts have been set aside and our faith has been renewed.

“God is too wise to be mistaken

God is too good to be unkind

So when you don’t understand

When you don’t see His plan

When you can’t trace His hand

Trust His heart.”
