Ok… you need grace… Your choices are grace from man or grace from God. Who do you choose?
Well, that’s a no-brainer; we choose grace from God. That’s exactly what David chose.
In I Chronicles 21, David took a census of Israel even though God didn’t want it. Because he had disobeyed God, he was told that he would face judgment. David was given three choices; He could choose three years of famine, three months of destruction by the sword of his enemies or three days of plague as the angel of the Lord brought devastation throughout the land of Israel. After given it thought, David said, “…let me fall into the hands of the Lord, for his mercy is great. Do not let me fall into human hands.”
Think about what David said; “let me fall into the hands of the Lord, for his mercy is great… do not let me fall into human hands.” David knew if he had to take his chances on his punishment being shortened, he had a better chance with God than with man.
This is a reminder to us of the grace of God. None of us ever mess up so bad that we can’t be forgiven. Today, be reminded of God’s grace. It is great and vast.
