At times, we can all be pretty good record-keepers. We may keep a record of someone’s sin and we remind them of it every time they mess up. But the Lord doesn’t do that.
Psalms 130:3 asks, “Lord, if you kept a record of our sins, who, O Lord, could ever survive?”
If the Lord kept a running tally of our sins, we would never be forgiven because we sin constantly. But He doesn’t keep a record.
This is something we all need to be reminded of. We have a tendency to remember the sins of others. Although we have all been forgiven, at times we struggle to forgive others.
Friend, none of us are perfect. We are all sinners saved by grace! We need to stop being so hard on others. If God doesn’t keep a record of our sins, neither should we.
The apostle Paul said, “Love keeps no record of wrongs.” Stop keeping a tally of someone’s sin. Forgive them and move on.
