In the movie “Tombstone” there is a scene where Wyatt Earp says to Johnny Ringold, “we don’t want any trouble.”
Ringold responds, “Well you got trouble!!!””
Everyone has trouble. There is an old saying that everyone is either going into times of adversity, they are in the midst of it or, they are coming out. We all face adversity.
Psalm 120:1 says,”I took my troubles to the Lord; I cried out to him, and he answered my prayer.”
Thank about the verse, “I took my troubles to the Lord…”
Whatever we are facing, we can take it to the Lord. There are times when it may seem no one cares, but God does. God loves us and God cares. That doesn’t mean that God takes us out of our troubles. There are times when God May give us the strength we need to face our problems.
The apostle Paul constantly faced troubles. In II Corinthians 10:5 Paul wrote, “For even when we came into Macedonia our flesh had no rest, but we were afflicted on every side: conflicts without, fears within.”
God loves us and cares for us. God wants to help us.
“Precious Lord take my hand,
Lead me on, help me stand.
I am tired, I am weak, I am worn.
Through the storm, through the night.
Lead me on through the night.
Take my hand, Precious Lord.
Lead me on.”
