Everyone makes mistakes. Everyone has flaws. But even though we have messed up, God still loves us and can use us.
Simon Peter, is a great example of someone who messed up but God still used him. Simon told Jesus he would die for him. Jesus said, “I tell you the truth, Peter—before the rooster crows tomorrow morning, you will deny three times that you even know me” (Jn. 13:38).
And that’s exactly what Peter did! He denied knowing Jesus three times!
But, after the resurrection, Jesus met Simon by the Sea of Galilee and Jesus told Simon He wanted him to feed his sheep. Jesus used Simon in spite of Simon denying Jesus.
There is hope for all of us. Even if you have messed up, Jesus loves you and will use you.
Maybe there is someone who has messed up but wants to serve. Maybe you are resisting that. Friend, I encourage you to give that person a chance. If Jesus can forgive Simon, we can forgive someone.
Jesus forgave Simon & used him. He will do the same for us.
