When You Don’t Know What To Do

Have you ever felt clueless? I mean, you were absolutely lost.. didn’t know which way was up much less which way to go.
I have a feeling that’s how Jesus disciples felt on Saturday after His crucifixion. They didn’t know what to do. They had followed Jesus but now, He was gone. So what were they supposed to do? They waited… they didn’t know anything else to do… and a day later, Jesus appeared to them.
We are kind of in that position now. With the shelter-in-place order from the Coronavirus, our world has been stopped. There have been no kids sports.. no church… at least the kind where people gather… no work for many.. So, our world has been stopped.
Where do we go from here and what do we do? First, we trust. We do not know the future.. but we trust God who does.
Second, we hope. This will end, eventually. I’m hearing the same reports you are and, Doctors are beginning to sound a little optimistic. We are definitely not out of the woods yet but, things are getting a wee bit better.
Third, we help one another. We should do that all the time but especially now.
I love these lines from Charles Haddon Spurgeon;
“God is too wise to be mistaken
God is too good to be unkind
So when you don’t understand
When you don’t see His plan
When you can’t trace His hand
Trust His heart.”
