Do you ever feel like God has rejected you? Like God has forgotten about you? If you have, you are not alone. The Psalmist felt that way.
He asked, “Has the Lord rejected me forever? Will he never again be kind to me?”Is his unfailing love gone forever? Have his promises permanently failed? Has God forgotten to be gracious?
Has he slammed the door on his compassion?” He was down and discouraged.
He even said “This is my fate; the Most High has turned his hand against me” (Psalms 77).
Think about those words…”This is my fate…the Most High has turned his hand against me.” He had reached a low point if he felt God had turned His back on him.
But we can all feel that way at times. Maybe a prayer goes unanswered or someone hurts us. The devil can make us think the Lord has turned his back on us.
But then, the Psalmist began to think about all God had done for him and he remembered all of God’s wonderful deeds. So he realized God hadn’t forgotten about him.
And God hasn’t forgotten about us either. We may think He has but he hasn’t.
I encourage you, when you are down to think about the blessings of life. Times May be a little tough but God still loves us. God has NOT forgotten about you. God has NOT abandoned you. God loves you.
