Greatness Isn’t Found In Title Or Position But In Service.

This generation thinks greatness is found in status. If you want to be great, we think you need a nice title or to serve in some high-profile position. Greatness, many think, is found in title or income.
But according to Jesus, it’s just the opposite. James and John approached Jesus and asked for a favor. They asked if, when Jesus sat on His throne if He would allow them to sit in seats of power. Jesus told them He couldn’t grant that.
Some of the other disciples heard them and immediately began criticizing them.
Jesus told them all that they had it all wrong. He said “even the Son of Man came to serve and to give His life a ransom for many.”
Jesus set an example for us in service when He died on the cross. If we want to be great, we should serve. Greatness isn’t found in a title or a position but in service. Abraham Lincoln once said, “Man never stands so tall as when he stoops to help a child.”
Greatness is found in stooping to serve.
