Trusting The Lord In Decision Making

“It’s in the cloud.”

Or, “I backup to the cloud every day.”

That is a reference to backing our computer data up to iCloud. The “cloud” is used for storing data in the cyber world.

In Exodus 40, the Lord gave Israel a cloud to guide them. During the day they followed the cloud. At night, the cloud turned to fire. Decisions were pretty simple; just follow the cloud. We may wish we had a cloud to follow today!

Decisions can be difficult. And when we are making them we may wish we had more information. The best way for us to make a decision is to follow the Lord. But someone may say, “That sounds simple; how do you do it?”

Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall Direct Thy paths.” That verse is a great guide in decision making.

So today, we may not have a cloud to guide us like Israel did but we have God’s word. Trust the Lord and He will guide us.
