The only people who don’t experience it are those who never try anything. If you dream, if you try something new, if you get out of your comfort zone, you will fail at times. It’s part of life.
But, if you let it, failure can be something that holds you back. In Genesis 41:9, the Pharoah ad a dream and none of his wise men could interpret it. The chief baker was reminded of Joseph whom he had met when he was in prison. Joseph asked him to remember him when he got out of prison but, the baker forgot him. So, when Pharoah asked if they knew someone who could interpret dreams, the baker said, “Today, I’ve been reminded of my failure.” His failure was forgetting Joseph.
Each one of have failures that we are reminded of. Maybe it was a divorce or a bankruptcy or maybe we broke the law. Maybe we lost a job.
Zig Ziglar once said, “Failure is a person, not an event.”
Don’t let failure hold you back.
Recognize it, admit it, learn from it, forget it.
