Do you ever feel you are too insignificant to make an impact for God? Maybe you grew up poor or you were not the best student? Joseph and Mary, the parents of Jesus, were not significant. They were just two young adults that God selected to be the earthly parents of Jesus.
Think about where Jesus was born; in Bethlehem. It was a rather small town yet that’s the place God chose to be the birth-place of Jesus.
Think about who were the first yo hear of Jesus birth? It was the shepherds….they certainly weren’t considered significant men yet God chose them to hear of Jesus birth.
The Christmas story is a story of God using humble beginnings….small places…regular people, for His glory.
Maybe you have been called to Pastor and you are in a very small church and at times, you look around and feel very insignificant when you look at the large ministries others have.
Zechariah 4:6 days, “Don’t despise these small beginnings for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin…”
“Don’t despise these small beginnings..” If you think you are too small, too insignificant, too poor or maybe not educated enough for God to use you, you are wrong.
God can use anyone or any group….size does not matter. Zechariah says, “Don’t despise the day of small beginnings.” So, you didn’t grow up wealthy or you aren’t as educated as someone else or your church is small than others….none of that matters to God. God used Bethlehem, Joseph and Mary and the Shepherds in the Christmas story and He can use us as well.
