Demonstrating God’s Love Proves God Exists

As Christians we believe in God and His Son, Jesus Christ. We tell the world that they exist and we encourage the world to believe in God. But, we cannot prove that God exists. The Bible says God exists and that Jesus exists but we can’t prove their existence to a skeptical world. But, there is one way we can convince a skeptical world that the God we believe in, is real. And that is to demonstrate God’s love by loving one another.

I John 4:12 says, “No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and his love is brought to full expression in us.”

Think about that verse; “…if we love each other, God lives in us and His love is brought to full expression…”

We demonstrate the existence of God by loving each other.

Now, let’s be honest; how well do we do this? At times, not very well. Just look at the number of church splits that have taken place throughout history. Christians are notorious for arguing and squabbling.

But we demonstrate the existence of God by loving one another. How can we do this better? We can start by talking to one another instead of arguing. And, we need to get past thinking that someone else is wrong if they don’t agree with us.

I have been in the church most of my life. I have been a Minister for thirty-eight years. I have noticed that times, Christians can assume someone else is wrong if their belief differs with ours. Yes, there are times this is true but, there are times when we just disagree. We may not certain things until we get to heaven.

Whenever Christians disagree, often, it is a result or pride. We think WE are right and everyone else has to be wrong. May I remind us all that pride is what got Satan kicked out of heaven. He wanted to be God. And that’s exactly how some Christians can act. Folks, there is one God and we aren’t God.

Let’s demonstrate the love if God by loving one another rather than arguing and squabbling.
