Yesterday my post was on going to the Lord for help. But how does God help us? One of the ways is when God prompts other people to help us.
In I John 3:17-18, John says, “If someone has enough money to live well and sees a brother or sister in need but shows no compassion—how can God’s love be in that person? Dear children, let’s not merely say that we love each other; let us show the truth by our actions. “
Think about that verse; “if someone has enough money to live well & sees a brother or sister IN NEED…but shows no compassion..” So, let’s say there is someone praying to God for help. They are believing Psalm 121:1 which says, “Where do I go for help? I go to the Lord.” That person is praying..
As that person prays to God, God speaks to someone who has the means to help. At that point, God wants to use that individual to be an answer to someone’s prayers.
Christianity is more than just reading our Bible or going to church; it also means helping others. Christmas is a great time for that.
Some churches adopt families during Christmas. Individuals may know someone that’s hurting and help them. The Christmas season is a time to show compassion. And compassion grows out of our desire to honor the Lord.
