What Is The Purpose Of The Bible?

What is the purpose of the Bible?
Maybe you have asked that question.
And, can you believe the Bible?
First, lets start off with the purpose of the Bible.
The Bible is a book that tells us about God’s love for us. The Bible is not a book of science or math; it’s a book about love. It tells us about God’s love for mankind and God’s plan to make it possible for man’s sins to be forgiven.
People can get hung up on things in the Bible that really aren’t important. For example, people love to debate creation. How did it happen? How long did it take? Neither of those are important. God created the world. That’s it; that’s all we need to know.
Don’t get hung up debating things in the Bible and overlook the most important thing. And the most important thing is God’s love. God sent His Son to this earth to die for the sins of mankind. Jesus death on the cross makes it possible for man’s sins to be forgiven. If man will believe in Jesus, man’s sins can be forgiven. That is the message of the Bible. Focus on that.
The best verse to summarize the Bible is John 3:16; “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son; that whoever believes in Him would not perish but have everlasting life.”
That is the message of the Bible. Share that love with someone today.
