We Find Grace In The Lord

At times in the past, I have called someone or spoken with someone who is going through a tough time. I listen to them and then, I may say, “I can’t say I know how you feel because I’ve never faced this but, I love you and I’m here for you.” Maybe you have been in the same position.
There are times when someone is going through something and we can’t say we understand… we’ve never been through it. But, Jesus has and does.
Hebrews 4:14-16 says, “So then, since we have a great High Priest who has entered heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we believe. This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin. So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.”
The text says Jesus “faced all the same testings we do.. yet he did not sin…” Jesus was tempted by Satan at the beginning of His ministry. He knew how it felt to be tempted. Jesus understands us.
Because of this, the text invites us to come before the Lord. The text says, “…come boldly to the throne of our gracious God… There we will receive mercy and find grace.”
This world can be a cold place. At times, there isn’t much grace. But in Jesus we find grace.
It doesn’t matter what we have done… how we have slipped… Jesus gives us grace. Today, is there something you have been reluctant to confess? You have been reluctant to talk about it to the Lord? The Bible says we can bring all our problems to the Lord and find grace.
So whatever you are struggling with… you can find grace in the Lord.
