Our Sins Are Cast As Far As The East Is From The West

When we ask God for forgiveness of sin, our sins are forgiven. The Bible assures us of that. But, even though our sins are forgiven, the devil can bring them to our minds at times. The devil can even make us question IF our sins are really forgiven?
Psalms 103:12 says, “He has removed our sins as far from us as the east is from the west.” Think about those words… our sins have been removed as far as the east is from the west.
The phrase, “as far as the east is from the west” is a metaphor… it’s symbolic. It means an infinite distance.
So, our sins have been forgiven and forgotten. They have been removed “as far as the east is from the west.” They are gone.
So what do we do when our old sins come to our minds? We remind Satan that our Lord has forgiven us and our sins have been removed and Satan can get lost.
It may be that mistakes from your past continue to haunt you. We may deal with the consequences of our sins… but, the Lord has forgiven us. The sins of our past will not keep us out of heaven, if we have asked for forgiveness.
So today, if you messed up in the past… ask the Lord for forgiveness. Once . you’v done that, the Lord casts our sins away. They are gone forever.
Corrie Ten Boom once said, “The Lord casts our sins into the sea and put up a sign that reads ‘No fishing!'”
Our sins are gone. Live in victory today.
