How To Handle Worry

Every post I make is for me and whomever may read it But today’s post is even more so. I confess that I am a charter member of the worry club. I’m not proud of it but it is true. I almost didn’t write this post because I don’t want to be a hypocrite. But, the Lord reminded me I need this post as well.

Do you worry? You may respond, “It’s not IF I worry, but HOW MUCH I worry.” Most of us, at times, worry. Some worry more and some worry less than others. Most of us know the Bible tells us not to worry – we may have the verses highlighted in our Bibles, but we still worry.

But Paul tells us instead of worrying we should simply give our requests to God and He will guard our hearts and minds.

Paul said in Philippians 4, “Be anxious for nothing but in everything by prayer and supplication let your requests be made known unto God; and the peace of God will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.”

So, today, right now, give whatever you are worrying about to the Lord. Now, if there is something you need to do, then do it. But after we have done all we are supposed to do, we should trust the Lord with our requests.

Someone has said, “Worry doesn’t rob tomorrow if it’s sorrow, it robs today of it’s joy.”

Join with me and let’s give our concerns to the Lord.
