Be still and know that I am God.”
Ok, let’s be honest – do you have a problem being still? I admit that I do. I normally think I need to do something – call someone – do something!
Years ago, when I was Pastor of Heuck’s Retreat Church in Brookhaven, Ms, there was an elderly man named “Clark…” and I don’t remember the last name. He was talking about another man whose wife had died and the man was just sitting around the house. Mr. Clark said, “Get out of that house and do something – even if it’s wrong!”
Well, I don’t think we should do something wrong but, I have a difficult time doing nothing.
But, the Psalmist says, “Be still….”
There are times when God doesn’t want us to do anything but trust Him. It may be that you have done everything you know to do about something – God says, “Ok, be still and know that I am God.”
Today, God May be saying to you, “Just trust me..”
