The Lord Gives Us Hope

There are just a few seconds left on the game-clock. The team runs one final play before bringing the field-goal kicker on. Except, while running the play, time runs out. One team thinks they have won the game. The other team argues there should be one second left on the clock. The officials review the play and….the ruling is that yes, there should be one second on the flock. So, the team has been given hope…there is one second left to kick a field-goal.
Hope is something everyone needs. As long as we have hope, we press on. But, if is gone, we quit. We think, “What’s the use?”.
In Romans 15: Paul talked about hope. Paul said, “I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope Today, maybe you need Hope. Maybe you are dealing with something that you are very anxious about and you need hope. In I Corinthians 13 Paul tells us how important hope is when he says, But now abide faith, hope and love but the greatest of these is love.” Paul focused on love in that text but the fact that hope is one of the three greatest things indicates how powerful it is.
