God Is Everywhere… His Omnipresence

“…No matter where people go, sooner or later there’s the law. And sooners or later they find God’s already been there.” (John Chisum – played by John Wayne)
There is nowhere we can go out of the presence of God. The theological word for this is “omnipresent.” God is omnipresent… meaning God is everywhere.
Psalm 139:7 says, “I can never escape from your spirit! I can never get away from your presence.”
Think about that… humans are limited to time and place. We may even tell someone, “I can only be in place in one place at a time.”
But God is everywhere. God is omnipresent. If you are in Israel, God is there. If you are in Germany, God is there.
If you are at the North Pole, God is there.
If you are on the west coast, God is there.
We can never go anywhere that God isn’t already there.
This is one of the reasons we should worship God.
Country musician Lynn Anderson had a song entitled, “I’ve been everywhere man..”
Well, thousands and thousands of years before she wrote that song, God was everywhere and God still is.
Where ever you are going today. God is there.
Thank you, Lord, for your omnipresence.
