We Can Have Confidence In The Lord

Can you trust the Lord?
Seriously… can you trust the Lord?
Someone may say, “Come on dude, are you serious? Sure you can trust the Lord.”
Yes, we can trust the Lord but, we are all human, and there are probably times when our faith wavers.
In Psalm 108:1, the Psalmist says, “My heart is confident in you, O God;
no wonder I can sing your praises with all my heart!”
I love that verse… think about it… the Psalmist says “My heart is confident in you, O God.” Why did the Psalmist have this confidence? Because the Lord had helped him in times past. The Lord had rescued him and provided for him so, he knew He could trust the Lord.
Someone reading this may be struggling financially. You have asked the Lord to provide for you. But you are questioning, if it will happen? I can tell you that God provides. That doesn’t mean God will give us a trip around the world… although He could. It doesn’t mean we will get a brand new automobile… We are driving two old, high-milage vehicles. They aren’t pretty but they get us where we are going.
There may be something we may have to do without. But God provides our necessities. Just like God fed Israel in the wilderness, God provides for us.
We can also have confidence in the Lord to direct us. God’s plan is always best. If God is leading you to do something, you can trust the Lord. You can have confidence in the Lord.
We can have confidence in the Lord because…
He is all-powerful… He created the heavens and the earth…
He is loving… He sent His Son to die for our sins…
He is provides…. He gives us the essentials of life.
He is comforting… He consoles us and encourages us.
He gives us hope… His Son rose from the grave.
Yes, like the Psalmist, we can have confidence in the Lord.
