How Long Are You Going To Wait?

Is there something you have been putting off? Is there something you know you need to do and you have been talking about it for a while but you haven’t done it? If so, there is no better time than now.
In Joshua 18, the Bible says the entire land of Canaan was under Israelite control and Joshua called the entire nation together. There were seven tribes that had not claimed the land that was there’s to claim. So, Joshua asked, “How long are you going to wait before taking possession of the remaining of the land the Lord has given to you?”
“How long are you going to wait?”
Those words stood out to me as I read this text.
“How long are you going to wait?”
Someone reading this may need to give their life to Christ. How long are you going to wait?
Someone reading this is a believer but you have fallen by the wayside. You aren’t reading your Bible or giving or serving. You know you should be but you aren’t. You have been talking about getting back into the game. How long are you going to wait?
Someone reading this may need to talk with someone with whom there is some bitterness between them. You’ve thought about doing it but you keep putting it off. How long are you going to wait?
Someone may have offended someone… you did something wrong and you have thought about apologizing but you haven’t. How long are you going to wait?
In the book of Exodus, one of the plagues God sent on Israel was the plague of frogs. Frogs covered the land. Pharoah called Moses before him and asked Moses to remove the plague of frogs. Moses said, “When do you want me to do it?”
Pharoah replied, “Tomorrow.”
Pharoah and the people of Israel spent another night with the frogs when they could have been gone immediately. Like Pharoah, you may be putting off something you need to do. Why not take action today?
