“I Have Not Seen The Righteous Forsaken:

Everyone goes through tough times.
Sometimes it’s financial hardship. At other times, it’s a failed marriage. Or, maybe it’s the loss of a job. Or, a child has strayed. Or, maybe it’s medical problems.
Everyone faces them. Someone has said that everyone is either going through a trial, about to go through a trial or, coming out of a trial. Everyone goes through tough times. It’s part of life.
But, even though we go through tough times, God promises to be with us. Psalms 37:25 says, “I have been young and now I am old; but I have not seen the righteous forsaken or his children begging bread.” David was an old man.. yet as he looked back over his life, although times had been tough, David could say, “I’ve not seen the righteous forsaken…”
That means God will provide. Now, HOW will God provide? Does it mean a new house? Not necessarily.
Does it mean a better job? Not necessarily.
What about a new car? Not necessarily.
But God promises to take care of us.
Holli and I are focusing on this in our lives. God is providing. Each day, like God did with Israel, we are getting manna and quail.
God will take care of us. So, we trust Him. We cling to Him.
There is an old gospel song that many of us are familiar with. The third verse goes like this;
“I don’t worry about tomorrow, It may bring me poverty.
But the one who feeds the sparrow
Is the One who stands by me
And the path that is my portion
May be through the flame or flood
But His presence goes before me
And I’m covered with His blood.”
God will be with us through the tough times.
