The week between Christmas and New Year’s Day is a great time to reflect. It’s a time to think back over the year at the good times and the not-so-good. It’s a time to reflect on and celebrate the good decisions and learn from the bad. As we do, we are reminded that one day we will be judged.
Revelation 20:11-15 talks about a time of judgment at the Great White Throne. I’m not going to get into the different interpretations regarding judgment… Let’s just focus on the fact that one day we will face judgment. And, we must be prepared.
What do we need to do to be prepared?
First, we need to make sure we are saved. Has there been a time when you prayed and invited Christ into your heart? If you haven’t, you need to.
But secondly, you need to live for Christ. There are lots of people who say they are saved but their lives produce little fruit of salvation. I’m not judging here but, if you are saved you will want to live for Jesus.
So, as we close out 2018, are you ready for the judgment? If not we need to be.
