Trusting In God No Matter What

The Christian life is not easy. Christians face the same problems that others face. Just because we are believers doesn’t mean we won’t experience adversity.
But Christians can think they won’t face adversity. Some have the idea that because we are believers we will not experience adversity and that’s not true.
When we experience adversity we can begin to question God. We wonder why we are going through these things?
Habakkuk had that experience. There were things happening that he didn’t understand. Yet, at the conclusion of his book Habakkuk says, “Though the fig tree should not blossom, and there be no fruit on the vine; though the yield of the olive should fail and there be no cattle in the stalls, yet I will exult in Thee O God” (Hab. 3:17-19).
Habakkuk was stating that regardless what happened, He would trust in God. Lots of people have not done that. There are people who, when things get tough in their lives, they can lose faith in God. They question the existence of God. Some reason, “If God is love, why is this happening?”
I don’t have all the answers but, just because we face adversity does not mean God doesn’t exist. Like Habakkuk, we should cling to our faith. Cling to your faith… even when going through difficult times.
