There Is Power In The Blood Of Christ

I love to drink “Krystal Lite.” I love the way it tastes. I will, at times, take a tube of Krystal lite with me when I leave the house.
Krystal lite tastes good… BUT, it can be TOUGH to clean up. I don’t know what is in the stuff, but it can be tough to clean.
Have you ever had a stain that was tough to clean? Maybe even you had something that nothing would clean up? It does happen.
The same can happen in our lives. There are times that we can think that we simply cannot be forgiven of a certain sin. But, the Bible says otherwise. In Hebrews 9, the Bible says, “For if the blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling those who have been defiled, sanctify for the cleanings of the flesh, how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal spirit offered Himself without blemish to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?”
Think about that verse…. the writer is speaking of the power that is in the blood of Christ. He’s referring to the Old Testament sacrificial system when he talks about cleansing things with the blood of goats and bulls. In the Old Testament, the great High Priest would slay a lamb every year and he would take the blood of that lamb and sprinkle it on the mercy seat in the temple and in doing so, he made atonement for the sins of the people for one more year.
The writer is saying that if the blood of goats and lambs can do that, how much more can the blood of Christ do?
There is NOTHING the blood of Christ won’t clean.
It doesn’t matter what sin you have committed, the blood of Christ will cover it. The blood of Christ will clean it. You CAN be forgiven.
There is an old hymn we sing that goes;
“Would you be free from the burden of sin,
There’s power in the blood.
Power in the blood.
Would you ‘o’er evil a victory win?
There’s wonderful power in the blood!”
That old song speaks of the power of the blood of Christ to forgive us our sins. There is NOTHING the blood of Christ can’t cleanse.
Today, whatever sin is in your heart… whatever sin you’ve been reluctant to confess… thinking God can’t possibly forgive you for that sin… confess it to the Lord and Jesus WILL forgive you.
