God Does Not Keep A Record Of Our Sins

Have you ever been around someone who reminds you of every mistake you’ve made or is constantly bringing up the past? If you have, it’s not pleasant, is it? I mean, we are all human We will make mistakes We will slip. We don’t have to be reminded that we are flawed.
A man and his wife went to see a counselor. The counselor asked, “What seems to be the problem?”
The man replied, “Any time I do something wrong, she gets historical.”
The counselor replied, “You mean, hysterical, right?”
“No,” the man replied, “She gets historical… she reminds me of every mistake I’ve ever made.”
Well, the Lord doesn’t get “historical” with us.
In Psalms 103, the Psalmist reminded us of God’s grace. The Psalmist said, “He has not dealt with us according to our sins, Nor rewarded us according to our iniquities…” (103:10).
Think about that… lets say God “..God… hasn’t rewarded us according to our sins…” God hasn’t kept a record of our sins.
Some of us may be thinking, “Man,I’ve sinned so much, I may have run out of grace” No, you haven’t. God’s grace never runs out and I am so thankful it doesn’t.
It doesn’t matter what you’ve done, God will forgive.. if we repent of our sins and confess our sin and ask. God will forgive. The Psalmist says, “For as high as the heavens are above the earth, So great is His lovingkindness toward those who fear Him.”
God loves us. Whatever happened in the past, it’s past… it’s gone…
The Psalmist continues by saying, “As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us” (Psalms 103:12).
So, God is not keeping a ledger of every time we’ve sinned. He has not dealt with us according to our sins. His grace never ends…
