Christians Should Demonstrate Love

Since Cain rose up and murdered his brother Abel, we have seen what hatred causes man to do. Hatred leads man to take the lives of others. Hatred leads a person to make false accusations against someone. Hatred leads young people to take the lives of students and teachers in school.
Love is the opposite of hate. Love leads teachers like Aaron Feiss to act as a human shield and protect students losing his life in the process. Love leads us to help someone out who is struggling. Love leads us to forgive and forget.
Proverbs 10:12 says, “Hatred stirs up quarrels, but love makes up for all offenses.”
Hatred stirs up quarrels… but love makes up for everything. It grieves me to read and hear the hatred in our nation. We are all different and we have different political convictions but, that doesn’t mean that we have to hate others.
Christians, Jesus wasn’t about hate. Jesus is love.. He told His disciples, “By this all men will know you are my disciples, if you love one another” (John 13).
Someone may have hurt you. Someone may have let you down. But that doesn’t mean we should hate them.
Instead of stirring up hate, let’s do our part to be loving. That’s what our Lord did.
